Warren-based computer chain opens fifth Michigan outlet
Company: Computer Builders Warehouse (CBW), 1993
Tobsal Court, Warren.
Background: CBW is a private-label computer manufacturer
based in Warren that has the ability to custom build
desktop or laptop computers for customers.
The Warren-based company, founded in 1989, also provides
extensive business services aimed at serving small-
and medium-sized companies' computer needs.
"We're the perfect solution for all consumer
and business computer needs," said J.R. Breslin
of Grand Blanc, who serves as the company's chief
operating officer.
Growing presence: CBW just opened its fifth retail
location at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills.
Its other locations are in Farmington Hills, Madison
Heights, Roseville and Shelby Township.
Its niche: "Unlike big-box computers like HP,
Dell and Gateway, all of our units are 100% checked
before they leave our warehouse to make sure every
component in every unit works properly. You won't
get that from the other manufacturers. It's the attention
to details like this that puts us above the rest,"
said Breslin.
